Some of Our Beautiful Horses
Dances With Horses consists of three separate farm locations and we own hundreds of horses of all different breeds. We
appreciate requests from individuals who would like to visit our farm, but we do remind the public that we are not a sanctuary open
to the public for liablity reasons nor is our farm open to the public for casual visits due to liability issues. We value
our privacy since the main farm is our home. Our property is privately gated and requires that we allow individuals access to
the farm. If you are interested in purchasing a specific horse, we are more than happy to schedule an appointment and make
the horse available for viewing and riding at a scheduled time. The horses that we have listed for sale are listed because
we need to sell those particular horses and we are more than willing to show them to serious buyers who are looking to purchase
a horse in the immediate future.
One of our farm locations is where we keep our Stallions and Breeding Mares along with foals and young horses that are getting ready
to enter training.
Our second barn is where we keep our personal riding horses that are generally not listed for
sale along with the animals that have been donated to our sanctuary, including our llamas, alpacas, lambs, etc..
Our third
barn is where we have those horses and foals that are currently listed for sale so that they are available for viewing by the public
if there is an interested buyer. However, we do remind customers that 99% of our horses do sell sight unseen, over the
internet since we offer substantial discounts.
All horses that we have in training are not located on site and are
with a trainer at a separate training facility. If we have a customer that would like to view a horse in training, we can schedule
an appointment to have the trainer present the horse at an indoor arena for easy viewing.

Our horses are always allowed to run free and have access to 40 plus acres. They have full access to fresh, clean water 24/7
and are never confined to stalls. They also have full access to lush pastures in the summer and in the winter time, they are
provided with round bales 24/7 so that they can graze freely throughout the day and night. They are allowed to run free and
interact with other horses, including our stallions.
We do not believe in confining horses to stalls when they prefer
to be outside. Horses should have the freedom to roam which is what they would enjoy if they were in the wild. They
always have access to shelter should the weather be negative but the horses generally choose to weather most storms on their own.

Our preference is to own and enjoy numerous breeds of horses. We do stand a variety of speciality stallions, however, we own
and ride a number of different horse breeds.
Altough there are some weighted opinions out there as to the nature of various breeds,
we love them all and enjoy the various types of rides and gaits that they offer.
There is a substantial difference in
the gaited breeds and they are often considered more comfortable for individuals who may have back issues or prefer a ride that does
not involve the standard trot.
We also enjoy a number of draft breeds and find their large majestic size breathtaking.
Our sanctuary does provide a lifelong home to horses and other donated animals which leaves us caring for a variety of different
breeds which often have differnt needs such as feed, farrier care, and other special considerations.
All of our horses are extensively broke to ride and drive and we ride them bareback. Also, all of our horses have been trail
certified. We ride in over 12 parades per year and spend the majority of our time trail riding, camping and traveling to differnt
locations to ride.

We ride our horses in Western and English tack depending upon the event. Some of our horses have show careers in various disciplines
including driving.
Most all horses are very versatile and willing to learn new dsiciplines and skills. We always
expose our horses to new situations and new surroundings. The key is to be very patient with the horse and understand
their limitaitons. If you introduce them slowly and appropriately to new things, they will respond positively and not fear those
new items at the next encounter.
Horses are living, breathing animals and they all have different personalities, just
like human beings. Some horses are naturally timid, curious, aggressive, etc. It is important to understand your horse's
personality so that you are sensitive to your training techniques. We believe horses are capable of learning new things
all the time, each new ride comes with a different stimulus and something the horse has never seen before.
